Club Reads One Book for 28 Years

(Reading) "… The end. …. Whoa… What a great book!

Books are adventures! When you read one, you can visit new places, meet cool
people, and do amazing things!

In a book club, everyone reads the same book. Friends talk about the places,
people, things, and more in the book.

Some book clubs read one book every week. Many read one book every month. One
book club read one book... for 28 years!
有一些讀書會一周看一本書，或者是一個月一本。但是有個讀書會花了28年才讀完一本書。

The book is "Finnegan's Wake." People around the world love it! But it's very
difficult.
這本書叫做《芬尼根的守靈夜》。很多人喜歡這本書，但是這本書不好讀。

The writer used about 80 languages. He wrote many strange sentences. And he
made new words! That's why this book is very difficult!
作家用了80種語言，寫了很多奇怪的句子，又創了很多新詞，所以困難重重。

How difficult is "Finnegan's Wake"? Well, the people in the book club read
two pages every month! But that was too fast! So they read one page every
month! "Finnegan's Wake" has more than 600 pages...

The people finished "Finnegan's Wake." Then they went back to... page one!

Town Gets Man's Big Secret

Are you generous? A generous person gives money or help in a kind way. Maybe
you're generous. But are you as generous as Geoffrey Holt was?

Who was Geoffrey Holt? Geoffrey was a nice, quiet man. People liked him. He
lived in a small town in America called Hinsdale.

This Ferryboat Flies

People in Sweden made a flying ferryboat! Wait... what's a ferryboat?

Ferryboats are buses on water. They carry many people. People use them to go
to work or school. Some ferries carry cars too.
Ferryboat渡輪就像水上的公車，載人上班、上學，也可以載車子。

Ferries need to push lots of water so they can move. That takes a lot of
energy. All that water makes ferries slow. It also makes ferries move side to
side and up and down. Many people feel seasick.
渡輪需要很大的動力才能往前走。水流會讓渡輪的速度變慢，也會搖晃。很多人會因此暈船。

The flying ferry from Sweden can carry thirty people. It doesn't carry cars.
It starts in the water. Then it flies close above the water!

This flying ferry doesn't need to push water to move, so it doesn't use a lot
of energy. It's very fast. And it doesn't move side to side or up and down.

Science Helps Man Walk Again

Science is great! Science finds ways to help people. It's helping Mr. Oskam.
Twelve years ago, he had a bad motorcycle accident. After the accident, his
legs didn't work. He wasn't able to walk. He used a wheelchair for a long
time.
12年前 Oskam先生遭遇車禍，雙腿無法行走，有很長一段時間需要依靠輪椅。

Then scientists put implants in Mr. Oskam's body. These implants are very
small computers. He has two implants in his brain and one around his spine.

Mr. Oskam also wears a special helmet. The implants, helmet, and a computer
work together. Mr. Oskam carries the computer in a backpack on his back.

To move his legs, first Mr. Oskam thinks about moving them. His brain
implants send a signal to the helmet. The helmet sends a signal to his spine

Teenager Becomes Lawyer

Last year, a teenager became famous. Why? He became the youngest lawyer in
California. He was seventeen years old!

Lawyers help people with problems about laws. Laws say what we can and cannot
