Thousands of tickets to a meet-and-greet with the latest heartthrob out of South Korea, Song Joong-ki were snapped up within minutes of going on sale today.
The “Descendants of the Sun” actor is scheduled for a meeting with fans June 25th, at the National Taiwan University Sports Center in Taipei.
When 4,200 tickets for the event became available for purchase at 11am, Song’s Taiwan fans flooded ticketing venues and all tickets were gone within 5 minutes.
An Apple Daily report says the news outlet received complaints from fans who came away empty-handed, claiming that the coveted tickets were sold early.
They say that by 10:20am this morning, online rumors were already circulating that one section of seating was already sold out, and portions other sections were unavailable as well.
The disappointed fans wondered if tickets were given away for public relations purposes or as favors, and if so, felt this is highly unfair to the average consumer.
Event organizers say there is no truth to the rumors, and reassured fans that they are looking into the ticketing process to see if any irregularities occurred.
