The 88th Oscar Awards ceremony is slated for Monday morning Taipei time and the TWM Broadband (台灣大寬頻) announces today that viewers will be able to watch it live on its website.
The ceremony will kick off at 9:30 AM Feb. 29th, a national holiday here in Taiwan, and the red-carpet program starts at 8 AM.
HBO Asia also says those who answer Oscar-related questions on its website between Feb. 29th and March 20th will be eligible for a lucky draw.
The prizes include a ticket to the red-carpet event at next year’s award ceremony in Los Angeles and a five-day travel package for two to the Hollywood city.
Both HBO and TTV main channel will broadcast this year’s show, hosted by comedian Chris Rock, from 8 AM on Monday.
Nominees for the best film category include the Martian, the Revenant, Bridges of Spies, Mad Max: Fury Road and Spotlight.
