Jolin Tsai Play MAMA Kpop Taiwan

Taiwan singer Jolin Tsai wowed the audience at the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) last night in Hong Kong with a racy rendering of her signature song “Play.”

Tsai took to the stage in all-black, with a host of male back up dancers, and wowed audience members.

In addition to performing, she also won the Best Asian Artist trophy.

Taiwan singer Chou Tsuyu and her bandmates Twice collected the “Best New Female Artist” Award.

South Korean boy bands BIGBANG and EXO each collected four trophies at MAMA, making them the biggest winners of the night.

Produced by a music television channel in South Korea, MAMA began as a music festival, and later on, evolved into a music show.

The winners are chosen by a panel of industry experts while some categories are voted on by fans online.

The organizers have taken MAMA to different Asian cities such as Macau, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
