Tickets for A-mei’s upcoming concerts in Taipei next year sold out in less than 15 minutes this past weekend.

Tickets for the 10 “Utopia” concerts at Taipei Arena in April went on sale at 10 am Sunday, and all 120,000 tickets had been snatched up 12 minutes later.

The high demand caused delays in the online purchase system, with many fans complaining that they got stuck at the checkout stage and were unable to purchase tickets.

A-mei’s manager took to the Internet yesterday to apologize for the inconvenience, saying there were not enough machines to handle credit card payments.

The  ten concert tour in April, 2015 will showcase songs from her latest album Faces of Paranoia, released in 2014.

The award winning artist revealed that it will be her last concert tour which may have contributed to the astonishing sales of tickets. This revelation has also fueled tabloid speculation of an upcoming marriage to her ex-bartender, boyfriend of three years, Sam.
