Taiwan has been selected as one of the world’s top culinary destinations, to be featured in upcoming MasterChef Travel luxury tour packages.

The packages are a collaboration between the popular cooking show MasterChef and Cox and Kings, a travel company with headquarters in India.

The luxury tours are marketed as a getaway for clients who want a hands-on experience in the world’s greatest food destinations.

Past winners and finalists of the MasterChef show, and local experts accompany clients as they taste local cuisines and participate in cooking classes led by famed local chefs.

The venture’s website says culinary highlights of the Taiwan itinerary include the Din Tai Fung dumpling chain, the nation’s renowned night market snack foods and in-depth excursions to gain hands-on experience with the making of oolong tea, tofu and wasabi.

The tour around Taiwan will also include visits to landmarks such as Taipei 101, Alishan National Park, Sun Moon Lake, the National Palace Museum and the historical heritage of Anping in Tainan.

Starting at $3,685USD, the 10-day luxury tours to Taiwan are slated to begin next year.

Other destinations available for Master Chef Travel clients include Italy, Morocco, Thailand, and Vietnam.
