International Community Radio Taipei (ICRT) has become the first radio station in Taiwan to officially team up with TuneIn to bring broadcasts to mobile devices around the world.

“ICRT listeners are avid users of social media and new technology. They’ve been clamoring for an easy option to listen to ICRT on their cellphones and pads, and luckily TuneIn is the most popular app for listening to real radio,” says Tim Berge, General Manager of ICRT.

Berge says being the first TuneIn partner in Taiwan will also give ICRT extra exposure at home and abroad.

ICRT is well-known as a pioneer in Taiwan, bringing many firsts to the local radio industry, including regularly holding remote broadcasts island-wide and providing Internet streaming.

iPhone, iPad and Android users can now easily listen to ICRT using the TuneIn Radio app when they are away from the country or in a remote area in Taiwan where ICRT’s broadcast signal is not available.

To listen, simply download the app, go to “Browse” and then search for “ICRT”. Users can also “Follow” the station, which will add the station their profile for easier access.

The app is free of charge on the app store and on Google Play and is the world’s number one choice for enjoying real radio on a mobile device.
