Judge Says Artist Can't Take the Money and Run

Hey, news fans! Two years ago we told you about an artist named Haaning.

Do you remember? 大家還記得藝術家 Haaning嗎?

You don't!? That's okay. Two years is a long time! Here, I'll help …

A museum asked Haaning to make art.

It wanted the art to show people's feelings about work.

Haaning是一位藝術家。博物館請他用畫來表達人對工作的想法。

People work to make money. So Haaning wanted money in his art.

He didn't want to use paint or pencils. He wanted to use real money!

人們工作是為了賺錢，所以Haaning想要把真的錢呈現在作品裡。

The museum lent Haaning money for his art. He got almost two and a half
million Taiwan dollars!

Haaning為了作品， 向博物館借了將近250萬台幣!

Then Haaning gave the museum his art. It showed... nothing! Where was the
money?!

Haaning寄了作品給博物館，但是……是空白的! 錢都到哪裡去了?

Haaning called his art "Take the Money and Run". That's what he did! He took
the money and ran!

Haaning把作品取名為「拿了錢就跑」，他還真的這麼做!

The museum put Haaning's art in a show. But it wanted its money back too.

This year, a judge said Haaning has to give the money back.

Haaning doesn't want to. He says taking the money was the art!

博物館仍然展出Haaning的作品，但他們想要把錢拿回來。法官說Haaning必須還錢，可是他覺得把錢拿走，就是那個作品的藝術!

More Important Old Places Protected

People are amazing. We live all over the world, in hot jungles, snowy
mountains, and busy cities…

It's easy to see where people lived. We always leave something there. In
Egypt, we left pyramids. In Europe, we left castles.

Here in Taiwan, people left many kinds of things: temples, forts, hiking
trails and more!

Very old places are important. They tell us stories. They tell us how people
lived. We need to protect these places. Then people can see and enjoy them
many years from now.

UNESCO is a group. They help countries to protect important places. They help
over 1,000 places around the world! And now they're protecting more!

One new place is in Canada. Around 100,000 people went there once, digging
for gold! Another place is in Denmark. It's an old Viking fort!

Water is Life, Water is Food

Today is World Food Day. This year, it's all about water.
今天是世界糧食日。今年的重點是水。

But, wait … we don't eat water, we drink it! Why are we talking about water
on World Food Day?

Every living thing on Earth needs water. Animals need it to live. Plants need
water too. They need it to grow and to make their own food.

Dolphins Saved Near Tainan
Look! There's a dolphin! Look at it jump! Dolphins are beautiful, aren't
they? And they love to swim and play all day in the ocean!
你看，那裏有海豚! 牠們很漂亮對吧! 牠們喜歡在海裡游一整天。

But dolphins need help when they leave the ocean. How can people help?
但海豚離開海洋就需要幫助，我們可以怎麼幫忙呢?

Near Tainan, strong waves pushed two dolphins onto a beach. The dolphins were
scared. They didn't know what was happening. People saw the dolphins and did
something very smart. They called the coast guard and firefighters for help!
在台南有兩隻海豚被強浪推上岸，人們看到趕緊打電話給海巡人員跟消防隊。

The coast guard and firefighters know how to save dolphins. First, they made
the dolphins calm. How? They stayed next to the dolphins.
海巡人員和消防隊員在海豚身邊安撫牠們。

Next, they kept the dolphins safe on the beach. They stopped water from going
into the dolphins' blowholes. This let the dolphins breathe. They put wet
towels on the dolphins. The towels kept the dolphins safe from the wind and
the sun.
他們讓海豚安全地待在沙灘，防止牠們的噴氣孔進水，還把濕毛巾放在牠們身上以免風吹日曬。

Finally, they took the dolphins to a safer place.

So how can people help dolphins on a beach? Calling 118 for the coast guard
is the best way! That's how the people near Tainan saved the dolphins.

A Lazy Game from a Silly Saying

Do you hear people say "all Taiwanese like stinky tofu"? Saying this is
silly, right?!
你聽過別人說: 「所有台灣人都喜歡吃臭豆腐」嗎? 這聽起來很傻，對吧?

It's silly because it's wrong. Do all Taiwanese like stinky tofu? Of course
not! Everyone, in every country, is different. And everyone likes different
things.
因為這是錯誤的說法，不管哪個國家，每一個人都不一樣，喜歡的東西也不同。

Montenegro is a country in Europe. Some people say "all Montenegrins are
lazy". This is wrong too. And it's very silly.

Most Montenegrins know this is silly. They think it's so silly that it's
