We’re beginning a new interview series for the show! Here’s the plan: As we’ve discussed before on the program, Taipei Times Features Writer Han Cheung is exploring Taiwan history with his weekly column Taiwan in Time. Each Sunday, he takes on one event that occurred during the following calendar week. So we’re going to set aside one show a month to check in with Han, and follow him down the rabbit hole of Taiwan history. This week, he serves up four stories that happened in Taiwan some June way back when.

Sword Well in Taichung

Here are links to Han’s write ups on the four events we discuss in this show:

A lifelong desire to learn, June 5

The well of miracles, June 12

As the last resistance fell, June 19

Orphans of a ‘twisted history,’ June 26th
