Often billed as one of the biggest sporting events in the world, the Super Bowl is scheduled to kick off at 7 AM on the first day of the Chinese New Year, that’s February 8th, Taipei time.
It will see the Carolina Panthers take on the Denver Broncos in a bid to lift the champion’s trophy.
The game promises great entertainment as well. British rock band Coldplay will perform at half-time in what has become one of the most talked about moments of the Super Bowl.
Beyonce is expected to join them, having recently collaborated on “Hymn for the Weekend” and “Up&Up”, both of which featured on Coldplay’s latest album.
Lady Gaga is also to appear before the game to sing the American anthem.
Local fans can tune in to Chung-hwa Telecom’s Movie-on-Demand channel 174 Sports Network to watch the entire game live.
