Celebrities are coming forward to help and encourage those injured in Saturday (6/27) night’s party at the Formosa Fun Coast Water Park accident.

Pop singer Show Lo has sent a personal message to Chang Yen-cheng – who suffered second-to third-degree burns over 70-per cent of her body.

Jolin Tsai has recorded her voice for Liu Chih-wei – who suffered burns over 99-per cent of his body and is who remains in serious condition at the Taichung Veterans General Hospital.

Selina – of the girl group S.H.E. – is using her own experience of suffering third-degree burns to encourage the injured.

New Taipei City Mayor Eric Chu is calling on the public to lend a helping hand to the nearly 500 party-goers injured in the accident.

New Taipei City has set up a special account for donations, and for medical institutions to donate much-needed medical equipment and supplies.

Funds raised will help defray the costs of extended medical care for burn victims, and subsequent rehabilitation.

Nearly 500 people, many youth, were injured when colored powder was blown into the air at the “Color Play Asia” party, and then accidentally exploded and caught fire.  Officials are still investigating what ignited the powder.
