On the heels (pun unintended) of international clothing brand H&M, Forever 21 has announced that it will be opening a flagship store in Taipei this year.

The 400-ping shop, located at ATT 4 FUN in the capital’s Xinyi District, is currently undergoing renovations and is expected to open in the second quarter of 2015.

VOGUE Taiwan reports the American company has signed a long-term lease at ATT 4 FUN, where other international brands Pull & Bear and GAP are also located.

The announcement coincides with the opening of H&M’s flagship store at Breeze Song Gao near Taipei City Hall MRT Station this Sunday February 15.

Forever 21 offers women’s, men’s and girls’ clothing, as well as accessories and beauty products. It is widely known for its massive range of trendy offerings and affordable pricing.

Forever 21 will be the fifth international clothing brand to enter the Taiwan market, following Japan’s UNIQLO, Spain’s ZARA, the US’ GAP and Sweden’s H&M.

There are reports that other international brands such as the US’ Abercrombie and Fitch and Victoria’s Secret are also seeking to enter the Taiwan market and British brands Topshop and Marks & Spencer are looking to return.
