Jody Chiang’s manager says the singer will hold extra farewell concerts this year in a bid to please fans who have been unable to buy tickets for the 16 already announced shows.

The move comes amid concern large numbers of tickets already purchased for the shows have been bought by people seeking to sell them for huge profits.

Writing on his Facebook page, Chiang’s manager Eric Chen called on fans not to purchase scalped tickets and said he has asked the concert organizer to  review its ticketing system.

The announcement came after tickets made available at noon yesterday, were sold out by 4:30PM – leaving hundreds of fans who had queued up outside of Kuang Hong Arts Management’s office in Taipei ticketless.
