Chinese actress Gong Li will be among the stars in attendance at this year’s Golden Horse Awards, one of the most prestigious film awards in the Chinese-speaking world.

Gong, who rose to international prominence with roles in Chinese director Zhang Yimou’s films, will attend the award ceremony in Taipei on November 22.

She was nominated in the best lead actress category for her role in the family drama “Coming Home”.

Chinese actress Tang Wei, who shot to fame after starring in Ang Lee’s 2007 espionage thriller “Lust, Caution”, will also join the ceremony. Tang also scored a best lead actress nod.

The ceremony will take place at the National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall.

It will be hosted by TV host Mickey Huang and pop singer Ella Chen, a member of the girl group S.H.E..

Taiwan Television Enterprise will broadcast the event live.

A red carpet event will begin from 5:30 p.m. followed by the ceremony at 7 p.m.
