National Taiwan University has moved up six spots to reach 76th in the latest world university rankings released by the British education network QS.

NTU remained the only school from Taiwan to be listed among the top 100 in the 2014 to 2015 QS World University Rankings complied by QS.

National Tsing Hua University ranked 167th, up 32 notches, while National Chiao Tung University was 202nd, up 28 notches.

The QS rankings are based on four key pillars of research, teaching, employability and internationalization.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology retained its top spot in the rankings, followed by the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London.

Rounding out the top 10 were Harvard University, the University of Oxford, University College London, Stanford University, the California Institute of Technology, Princeton University and Yale University.
