NBA star LeBron James is scheduled to visit Taiwan tomorrow and Friday as part of a five-day tour of Asia.

The Associated Press reports that the tour is sponsored by Nike and will see the Cleveland Cavaliers’ star visit Beijing and Guangzhou in China, Hong Kong and Taipei and Kaohsiung in Taiwan.

James began his tour on Monday by visiting Beijing, where he exchanged gifts with pianist Lang Lang at Wukesong Sports Centre in Beijing.

The two stars also played the piano together, with Lang Lang calling it a “piano dunk”.

According to the AP, James was in Hong Kong today, where he demonstrated his skills by running through several basketball drills in a court in Kowloon to the delight of 1,500 fans.

Earlier this month, James left the Miami Heat after four seasons and four trips to the NBA Finals and re-signed with the Cavaliers, where his career began.

Taiwanese-American NBA star Jeremy Lin – now of the Los Angeles Lakers – is also in Taipei on an Adidas-sponsored tour. Besides attending numerous publicity events, Lin participated in a youth basketball camp over the weekend with guest coach Steve Novak of the Utah Jazz.
