Taiwanese-American singer Wang Leehom (王力宏) on Thursday announced the birth of his first child.
Wang made it clear to the public that he has waited for this moment his entire life.
Wang made the announcement via a Facebook post, with the 38-year-old saying that his baby girl “arrived early.”
Wang and Lee Jing Lei, 27, tied the knot in the United States on November 27, 2013 – only one day after the singer disclosed their relationship for the very first time.
“I’ve been waiting for you all my life. And now…here you are, early bird!” Wang said in his Facebook post, “Mother, daughter are both well! Thank you all for your blessings and best wishes!”
The post includes a picture showing the newborn’s feet framed by the shape of a heart formed presumably by her parents’ hands.
According to the Apple Daily, Wang’s agent sought to dispute a suggestion that the couple got married only after Lee became pregnant.
Wang’s agent also said, “The due date was sometime in August but the baby was born a month early.”
