South Korean girl band Girls Generation nearly set off a high-speed chase with fans at Taoyuan International Airport earlier today.
The 8-member group is on the island for concerts tomorrow and Sunday, in their first shows in Taiwan without former member Jessica, who left GG in 2014.
The “Nation’s Girl Group” arrived at 11:40 this morning, and appeared for all of 30 seconds in casual attire and shades, before speeding away in their electric carts, leaving hordes of upset fans in their wake.
Reports say some of the singers’ die-hard supporters tried to follow on foot, starting a brief chase that ended in disappointment and some very winded fans.
Taiwan is GG’s last stop on their 2015-16 “Phantasia” tour, after performances in Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia.
