Brexit Secretary David Davis has backpedalled on his claim that a Brexit deal can deliver the “exact same benefits” as EU membership, now admitting it was little more than an ambition.

But he still said, “I want all of those things. I make no bones about it. I’m not going to apologize for aiming for that.”

英國脫離歐盟部長戴維原先表示，脫歐談判應該可以讓英國享有跟身為歐盟成員國時完全一樣的福利，但是他現在態度逆轉，承認這恐怕野心太大了點。不過他仍然堅持說，所有那些福利他都想要。而且他會直接表達，不會為了這樣的目標而表示歉然。
