An aspect of Taiwan culture is being seen like never before, as “The Teenage Psychic” debuts to acclaim in Asia.

The six-episode original series directed by Taiwan’s Chen Hoyu (陳和榆), explores the life of a 16-year-old girl with psychic abilities, making her way through school life while also working in a Taiwan temple.

The show, jointly developed by HBO, Taiwan’s Public Television Service, and Singapore’s InFocus Asia, has seen high ratings and popularity since its debut earlier this month.

The series, starring Taiwan actress Kuo Shuyao (郭書瑤), is set to air its final two episodes back-to-back this Saturday evening, both on HBO, and PTS.
