Number of Free Taipei WiFi Hotspots to Increase up to 9,000

The number of WiFi hotspots in Taipei is set to increase by 3,000 to 9,000.

The move coincides with the formation of a new Taipei wireless network alliance.

According to Mayor Ko Wenje, the increase in WiFi hotspots will begin on October 10th, providing free WiFi services at 9,000 hotspots around the city,

Smart phone users simply need to download the “Taipei WiFi Alliance” application on their devices to be able to roam in the free wireless network zones with one single account.
