Bon Jovi Taiwan typhoon concert cancel

Jon Bon Jovi apologized to his fans on Tuesday for the cancellation of two concerts in Taipei — saying the band members were heartbroken and hope to return to the island to perform next year.

Speaking to reporters at Taipei Songshan Airport prior to leaving for Abu Dhabi, the singer said he and his band came to Taiwan with the best of intentions performing for fans, but the government called typhoon days and the shows were cancelled.

Some 200 fans who went to the airport sang the Chinese song, “The Moon Represents My Heart” in farewell to Bon Jovi, pianist and keyboardist David Bryan and drummer Tico Torres.

Bon Jovi sang that song in in Mandarin in a video posted on the Internet in August and dedicated it to his Chinese fans.
