The Chunghwa Post Office is set to launch a set of commemorative postcards featuring two mailboxes that were bent out of shape during Typhoon Soudelor earlier this month.

The set of four postcards were chosen out of 132 submissions from members of the public as part of a campaign to play on the sudden fame of the mailboxes.

A limited edition of 10,000 sets of the postcards set will go on sale at post offices in Taipei tomorrow.

One of the postcards features the contorted mailboxes standing out in a crowd of “normal” mailboxes with a message in the center of the postcard reading “keep calm and have fun.”

The mailboxes at the intersection of Nanjing East and Longjiang roads have become a huge draw since they were knocked sidewides by a falling sign during the August 8-th typhoon.
