According to Taipei 101 spokesman Michael Liu, the display is expected to be 20 to 50 seconds longer than the 218-second show in 2015.

Liu says the fireworks show is estimated to cost 45-million NT and its theme will focus on “Nature is the Future” and feature images of fish, flowers and plants.

Speaking to reports, Liu said the 101 is also hoping other buildings in the area over 15 stories will participate in the display and set off New Year’s fireworks from their buildings.

The 2016 display will continue to be choreographed by the French pyrotechnic design company Group F.
