The Pingtung County Government is teaming up with Line to organize what its calling the Color Rice Field Art Festival later this month that will feature  the Line Friends character on the field.

With Line’s cooperation, figures such as Brown, Moon, James and Cony will be shown in the southern county’s rice fields.

Officials say the move is aimed at attracting more tourists

The government plans to erect a 9-meter tall viewing tower so that tourists will be able to take a full view of the Line Friend figures in the field.

The art festival will run for two weeks starting tomorrow.
