French movie director Luc Besson and his producer wife Virginie Silla have arrived in Taiwan to promote his new action thriller “Lucy.”

The French couple arrived at Taoyuan International Airport late yesterday and are scheduled to leave tomorrow.

They will attend the film’s premiere at Vieshow Imax Cinemas in Taipei later today and hold a press conference tomorrow.

“Lucy” stars actress Scarlett Johansson, who plays an American woman living and studying in Taipei who is forced to become a drug mule for the mob.

She is accidentally infected with a drug that unlocks the full potential of her brain and transforms her into a superhuman fighting machine.

The movie scores 3 out of 5 on the popular film review website Rotten Tomatoes.
