French Director Luc Besson and his producer wife Virginie Silla will arrive in Taiwan Sunday to promote Besson’s new action thriller “Lucy“, parts of which were shot in Taipei.

The French couple will attend the film’s premiere at Vieshow Imax Cinemas in Taipei the following day.

Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-pin, and actors Hsing Feng, Ken Lin and Mason Lee, all of whom play small roles in the film, are also scheduled to attend the premiere.

Lucy stars American actress Scarlett Johansson, who plays a drug mule in Taiwan who gains supernatural abilities and becomes a fighting machine.

The film will be in local theaters Aug. 22nd.
