Singer-songwriter and record producer Jonathan Lee has become the first Taiwanese singer to perform at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Lee performed his most popular songs on Sunday at the 3,400 seat venue, which was 90 percent full.

During the concert, Lee shared a video clip of him recording music in Los Angeles 30 years ago as well as diary entries that he wrote back when he was in the city.

The concert is part of his first North American tour.

The Dolby Theatre has hosted the Academy Awards, The Daytime Emmy Awards and other high profile shows and events.

Hailed as one of the godfathers of Taiwanese Mandopop, Lee has produced songs for numerous artists, including Hong Kong singer Sandy Lam and Taiwanese singer Wakin Chau.
