Taiwan bands performed for the first time at the UK’s Glastonbury Festival last weekend — with the Ministry of Culture saying they attracted large crowds.

Electronic pop trio The Girl and The Robots, electro-rock band Go Chic, and Joanna Wang & The Weird Uncles took to the stage at the festival.

According to the Ministry of Culture, their performance on one of the festival’s smaller stages for global acts was attended by thousands of people.

Some 175 thousand people attended Glastonbury – which is one of the world’s biggest music festival.
