Happy – a gorilla at Taipei Zoo – has died of multiple organ failure.

According to the zoo, Happy died Monday at the age of around 49, which is the human equivalent of between 80 and 90 years.

Happy was diagnosed with kidney failure during a health examination on June 12th and put in palliative care Monday.

The gorilla became unconscious, and died of cardiac arrest later that same day.
