A travel website has listed the Taiwan passport as the 39th most convenient in the entire world.
According to the GoEuro site, the ROC passport is also the fourth most useful in Asia, only losing to Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia.
GoEuro says it costs the equivalent of 43 US dollars and eleven working hours to obtain a Taiwan passport, which grants visa-free access to 132 countries.
However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says Taiwan’s passport gets travelers in visa-free to 153 countries now, meaning GoEuro’s figures are out of date.
Sweden’s passport was ranked as the most convenient in the world.
