The Taipei Zoo has announced the birth of a new chimpanzee.

According to the Zoo, the baby chimp was successfully delivered last Sunday and has been adjusting well to life at the zoo.

From live camera footage set up by the zoo,  baby Wa-zhi can be seen clinging onto her mother Wa-wa.

Just last week, the zoo also welcomed a new baby giraffe named Xiao Zhang to the Taipei Zoo family.
