Taoyuan International Airport is reporting that CPR training and defibrillators helped to save the life of a a passanger last month.

The company says that a 65-year-old passenger fainted while he was sitting in a chair at the boarding gate for a flight to Shanghai.

It says the flight’s cabin crew head and a nurse, rushed to help the passenger, and then administered CPR five times
The passenger’s heart began beating again before he was sent to hospital.

The company is lauding airport personnel for their quick reponses and ability to apply training under pressure.
