The Kaohsiung American School cut the ribbon inaugurating their brand-new campus this afternoon, the culmination of a vision that stretches back to 1989 when the first incarnation of KAS operated out of a few apartments near the city’s Cheng Gong Hospital.

Today, the school has a staff of nearly 100 and will soon be filled to capacity with 800 students.

ICRT’s southern correspondent Michael Smith was on site  to witness the event.
