A new study by Google shows Taiwanese people do the most online shopping in the world from their mobile smart devices.

According to Google’s Consumer Barometer report, 54 percent of Taiwanese consumers use their smartphones to buy stuff online.

Despite the high percentage of buyers, Taiwan consumers register a satisfaction rating for their online purchases of just 15 percent, which Google says means there is a lot of room for improvement in the online shopping experience.

The report adds that 41 percent of consumers feel that many websites are not simple enough to use, making them less likely to shop online.

The study also finds that Taiwanese have an average of 2.7 mobile devices, higher than the 2.3 seen in Japan or South Korea.
