The trailer for Interstellar – Christopher Nolan’s first film in two years – hit the web last night. We were granted a teaser trailer five months ago that didn’t show us very much besides some historical footage, and unfortunately the full and proper trailer doesn’t give us a whole lot of insight into the film either.

It’s no surprise that Nolan has remained relatively tight-lipped about this project though. Remember Inception? That trailer didn’t make much sense when I first saw it – there’s even no explicit mention of dreams – but look how how the film turned out. So in Sir Christopher Nolan – yes he’s a sir in my head – we shall trust.

According to entertainment publications, “[Interstellar] chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage. Time AND space travel? This is right up my (Whovian) alley. Thoughts?

Interstellar stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck and Nolan regular Michael Caine and is scheduled to be released at the end of this year.
