Episode Description

All over the world educators and entrepreneurs are using the tools of the internet age to update how we educate our students from Khan Academy to Coursera to simple things like flash card apps.

On this episode we hear about one of these ideas that popped up right here in Taiwan: PaGamO. It’s an online game developed with the aim of making learning addictive for students.

The game recently beat out more than 400 universities for an international prize in higher education innovation from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. To learn a little bit more about what makes PaGamO tick, we’ll be speaking with its creator, National Taiwan University Professor Benson (Ping-Cheng) Yeh, and his business partner Jason Ho.

This episode was produced in partnership with TEDx Taipei, and features audio from the talk professor Yeh gave at an event in 2013. Stay tuned for more interviews with TEDx Taipei speakers coming up in future episodes.
