Did you know there is a shrimp that can punch as fast as a bullet?!

No! It's true! There really is a shrimp with a super punch!
這種超級蝦我們把牠叫做蝦蛄。

This super shrimp lives at the bottom of the ocean… and when it is hunting
for food… it punches really hard!

In fact… this shrimp has the strongest punch of any animal in the world!
It's not super big, but it is super strong!

When the shrimp gets hungry, it gets ready to punch. Maybe the shrimp sees a
crab… "Hmm, yum … dinner is here!"

Then the shrimp gets close… and... The shrimp's punch is as fast as a

Some people like to keep a super shrimp as a pet… but be careful! Sometimes

Cuttlefish Memories

Hi, everyone! I've got another interesting story for you today, but first, I
want to ask you a quick question. 講故事之前，我先問你們一個問題。

What did you have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day last week?

Can't remember? That's okay. A lot of people would have trouble remembering
all that. 你們上星期每天吃什麼? 忘記了嗎？沒關係。

But do you know what could easily remember all that? An animal called a
cuttlefish. 但是烏賊就會記得喔！

Scientists gave cuttlefish a test. They wanted to see if they could remember
what they ate, where they ate it, and when they ate it. And guess what? They
could! Cuttlefish have great memories!
科學家測驗烏賊記不記得，之前吃過什麼，在哪裡吃的，還有什麼時候吃的.烏賊都答得出來!

People will often forget things. Do you ever forget things? I know I do! And
I've got bad news, kids. Our memories usually get worse as we get older.

The other cool thing about cuttlefish is their memories stay strong.

In the test the scientists gave them, the older cuttlefish did just as well

The Octopus with 9 Legs

Everybody knows that a person has two legs, a cat has four legs, and an
octopus has eight legs, right? 章魚有8隻腳對吧？

Well, yeah, usually. But in Japan, a family got a little surprise before
dinner one night. Their octopus had nine legs!
日本的一家人正在準備享用章魚，卻發現那隻章魚有9隻腳！

Instead of thinking "Mmmm... more dinner."

They thought "Hmmm… This should go to a museum!"

So they sent the octopus away. 他們決定送章魚到博物館。

An expert from the museum said the octopus can help people learn about the
ocean.

But why did the octopus have an extra leg?

The expert said that when an octopus loses a leg, it can usually grow a new
leg to replace the lost one!
博物館的專家說，如果章魚失去一隻腳，牠會再生一隻新的！ Amazing!

The octopus with 9 legs may have hurt one leg and grew a new one by accident!
It never lost the leg though, so it had eight legs… plus the new one! That's
nine legs!

It would be pretty cool if we could do that, right? Unfortunately we can't,

Walrus to get Floating Sofa

Hi everyone, today I want to talk to you about an animal called a walrus...

Walrus... 海象。 They have long teeth called tusks, a bit like an elephant.
海象有長長的牙齒，有點兒像大象。

They love the water and swimming, and they can grow really big!
牠們非常的愛玩水，游泳，而且身體會長很大ㄛ！

One walrus called Wally the Walrus, likes to visit a harbor in Ireland.
有一頭名叫Wally的海象，喜歡去愛爾蘭的海港。

But big Wally is causing big problems. 但是大Wally造成大問題。

When Wally wants to take a rest, he sometimes crawls up onto peoples' boats.
But Wally is really heavy!

Diver Nearly Swallowed by Whale

Do you know what animal makes that sound? That's a whale call!
那個聲音就是鯨魚。

Whales are the world's biggest animals. But it's funny, many of the biggest
whales only eat tiny things.
很好玩的是，體型最大的鯨魚，只吃最小的東西。

Some whales rush forward with their huge mouths wide open, so lots of water,
and any food in the water, rushes in!

It's pretty cool. But one man found out you shouldn't get too close to a
whale that's eating.有人發現鯨魚在吃東西的時候不要太靠近。

The man is a lobster diver. One day, when he was catching lobsters, he
suddenly felt a big bump and everything went dark.
有一天他下海抓龍蝦時，周圍突然一片黑暗。

At first he thought he had been eaten by a shark! He felt around, but there
were no teeth! That's when he realized he was in a whale's mouth!
他以為自己被鯊魚吃掉了！但是他摸索了半天發現沒有牙齒. 原來他在鯨魚的嘴裡！

After about 30 seconds the whale decided it didn't want to eat the diver.

So the whale shook its head and spat the diver back into the sea.

The lucky diver escaped with just a few bumps and bruises! And the whale
escaped with just a bad taste in its mouth!
