Dance Floor Turns Body Heat Into Energy
Oh yeah! I love dancing! Feel the beat, woo! Do you like to dance? It's a lot
of fun, but you use a lot of energy, too.
When we dance, our bodies make more heat. If lots of people dance together,
the dance floor will also warm up!
Now, a dance club in Scotland wants to use all that heat. They have invented
a dance floor that turns body heat into energy.
How does it work? Under the dance floor there are pipes to suck up the heat.
Those pipes send the heat deep down into the earth. There, they put the heat
into a battery.
Later, the dance club can use that heat to warm up on a cold day. They can
even use it to heat water.
This technology helps the dance club save money. They don't need to buy heat,
because they have this battery. What's more, it is good for the environment.
That's great news. It makes me want to dance some more. If we keep dancing,
we can make more heat, and this technology can use that heat energy.
Everybody get onto the dance floor!

Kaohsiung Theater Offers "Pop"ular Deal
When you think of movie theaters, you probably also think of popcorn.
It's a delicious part of the fun of going out to see a movie.
One movie theater in Kaohsiung came up with a special popcorn deal.
The theater said it would give customers (顧客) all the popcorn they could
carry for just 50 NT.
The customers need to buy two movie tickets, then pay another 50 NT, and
bring something to put the popcorn in.
Many customers came.
And they enjoyed the popcorn.
But there were also a few surprises!
Some people came with a big pot (大鍋子).
Another person came with a bucket (水桶).
One family came with 8 people, and each person carried a big box.
They said they would take the popcorn to their children's school, to share
with other students.
But the biggest surprise of all, was much bigger than a box or a bucket.
Three young men came for the special popcorn deal, with a really big
container (容器).
The container was bigger than a bathtub!
They said the container could hold 1,600 liters.
That's roughly more than 6,600 cups of water!
It took workers at the movie theater almost 2 hours to make enough popcorn to
fill the container.
Then the young men took all the popcorn to the Pier-2 Art Center.
And they gave away the popcorn for free.

Japan Team and Fans Clean Up at World Cup
Most of the time, to "clean up" is to make something clean and neat again.
Sometimes, "clean up" in casual English also means to win.
And Team Japan did a little bit of both at the World Cup in Qatar.
After winning a game against Germany, the players from Japan cleaned up their
locker room (更衣室).
They folded all the towels.
They put the leftover food (吃剩的食物) neatly on the table.
They folded some paper cranes.
And they left a note.
It said "thank you" in Arabic and Japanese.
And Japanese fans also cleaned up.
After the game ended, the fans took out big garbage bags.
And they picked up the empty bottles, paper cups, and other trash around the
seats.
Japan lost its chance to win the World Cup after it lost to Croatia.
But many people praised (讚賞) Japan's soccer team and their fans.
Some of the people who cleaned up say it's showing respect (尊重) for a place.
They say they would like to leave a place cleaner than before.
And it seems fans from other countries are following this example.
Some people say fans from Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and other countries
have also started cleaning up after games too.
