Do you like soy milk?

I do!

I drink soy milk almost every morning!

But, there are now lots of other kinds of milk, too!

There is oat milk … and almond milk … but here's a new one: potato milk!

Sounds weird, right?

But people who have tried it say it is delicious!

Potato milk doesn't have as much protein as soy milk or almond milk … but
potatoes are very easy to grow and don't need much water or land.

It's what we call a "sustainable" product … it means you don't need to use
so much energy or water or land to get it.

Oat milk or soy milk is not as sustainable as potato milk… and these days,
people are looking for sustainable food ideas.

There are now almost 8 billion people living on this earth!

It's already hard to grow enough food to feed all the world's people … so
sustainable ideas for growing food are becoming very important.

Clean-Up Crows

Crows are super smart birds! I mean… really, really smart! Scientists say
crows are about as smart as 7-year-old children!
烏鴉超級聰明，智商大概跟7歲小孩一樣！

Crows love to play games and they can make tools!
牠們喜歡玩遊戲，也會製作工具！

And crows can be a little naughty, too - just like 7 year-old kids! They
sometimes take things and fly away… and they sometimes find a way to get
into garbage cans and they make a big mess!
他們喜歡偷東西然後飛走，有時候，烏鴉也會想辦法進到垃圾桶，然後弄得一團亂。

So, some people in Sweden had an interesting idea. They said, "Hey! Crows are
super smart. They like to pick things up. Maybe we can teach them to pick up
litter!"

"Litter" is the English word for garbage people throw on the ground."Litter"

It's not nice to litter, but... (sigh) people still do it… and there is too

So people in Sweden taught the crows to pick up litter and the idea worked!

For the crows… picking up the litter is like a fun game! When the crow drops
a piece of litter into the clean-up box… a little snack comes out. Yeah!

The crows love the game… and the streets are getting cleaner. The crows are

Japanese Dog Trainer Wants More 'Poop Posts'

Oh no, I've run out of doggie poop bags! I hate it when that happens.

Whenever I walk my dog, I always forget to bring enough bags to pick up his
poop!
我每一次遛狗，都忘記多帶一些塑膠袋裝狗的便便！

It's important to clean up after your dogs when you take them for a walk,
otherwise there would be doggie poop everywhere outside!

A woman in Japan named Akari Tanaka actually had a great idea to fix this
problem.
有個叫做Akari的日本人想到一個辦法。

Akari set up "poop posts" all over her neighborhood. The poop posts come with
plastic bags. People can use these bags to clean up their dog's poop.
她在社區裡設了很多"便便站"，每一站都有塑膠袋讓狗主人使用。

There is also a trash can where they throw away the used bags.
那裡也有垃圾桶可以丟掉這些袋子。

That is so thoughtful and convenient!

Akari hopes when people are walking their dogs, they will take bags from
these posts to clean up after their pets, and this will help keep the

Hair Can Clean Up Oil Spills

When you get your haircut, what do you do with the hair clippings? Your hair
clippings are the pieces of hair that you have cut off.

Well, most of the time, all that chopped off hair goes into the garbage. But
leftover hair can actually be very useful!

Oil spills happen when something goes wrong with big ships on the ocean.
Sometimes these ships are carrying a lot of oil, and the oil leaks out into
the water. This is an oil spill.

Oil spills are very bad for animals. This is because oil makes everything
dirty, and pollutes the water and makes sand on the beach slimy and dirty.

New Marine Parks Protect Ocean

Snorkeling is when you swim around on the surface of the ocean, and you look
at things under the water.

There are so many interesting things to see in the ocean! Such as fish,
turtles, jellyfish, coral, and sometimes even sharks!

But the ocean is in trouble. There is too much pollution, and this is hurting
