TSMC to give NT$30,000 Sports Day bonus despite event canceled due to
Posted on 2026-10-24 16:07:14
typhoon

TSMC will give each of its non-managerial employees a special Sports Day
bonus of NT$30,000.

That's despite today's event being canceled due to Typhoon Champi.

TSMC Chairman and CEO CC Wei (魏哲家) made the announcement to employees in an
email yesterday. He said the bonus is NT$5,000 higher than last year's.

It'll be distributed in November to employees who were on TSMC's payroll as
of May 31.

The bonus is one of the reasons many employees look forward to TSMC's Sports
Day every year.

It's unclear whether overseas employees will also get a bonus.
