Holiday air traffic hit by typhoon
Posted on 2026-10-24 12:08:14
The National Immigration Agency has cut its forecast for passenger traffic
over the Retrocession Day weekend.

It originally estimated peak passenger volume of 157,000 today, but due to
the typhoon, that will be only 114,000, with 59,000 arrivals and 55,000
departures.

Taoyuan International Airport Corporation says flights are gradually resuming
today, with 607 flights scheduled for arrival and departure by midnight.

A total of 261 flights have been cancelled, including 160 passenger flights.

Passengers are advised to check flight information on airline websites before
making their way to the airport.
