National Day celebrations to showcase Taiwan's diversity, vitality: Speaker
Posted on 2026-10-03 13:10:13
Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜) says this year's National Day
celebrations will feature a wide range of programs showcasing the diversity,
vitality and unity of Taiwanese society.

Han, who also serves as chairman of the National Day Preparatory Committee,
says the ceremony will pay tribute to the land and all those who have
contributed to the country.

Meanwhile, this year's light projection show on the Presidential Office
building will spotlight the 30th anniversary of Taiwan's first direct
presidential election ... looking back at the country's democratic
development over the past three decades.

The light show will run every 30 minutes from 7 to 9:30pm between Wednesday
and Saturday, which is "Double-10 Day."

Beyond Taipei City, the events will include a concert at Banqiao Stadium and
fireworks at Taitung's Haibin Park
