Taiwan's exports rose 33 percent from a year earlier in July, as electronic component sales hit a fresh high.
The Ministry of Finance says robust demand for AI applications helped exports to a 33rd consecutive month of year-on-year growth.
Imports rose 37 percent, while the trade surplus was up 20 percent on year.
In the first seven months of the year Taiwan's exports rose by nearly 45 percent compared with January-July 2025 ... to US$492 billion.
The ministry said Taiwan's exports also benefited from resilience in the global economy and moves by international brands to build up inventories ahead of the launches of new products.
While exports generally rose, outbound shipments of textiles fell by 9.1 percent in July.
The US was Taiwan's largest export market, importing US$23 billion of Taiwan-made goods, up 25 percent from last July.
