Taiwan's top 5,000 firms post record profit in 2025; TSMC most profitable

Taiwan's 5,000 largest companies posted a record high in aggregate net profit
in 2025, up more than 11 percent from a year earlier.

Credit information firm CRIF says combined net profit at the top 5,000
totaled US$181 billion, up 11 percent from a year earlier, while aggregate
revenue was also up 11%.

Contract chipmaker TSMC remains the country's most profitable company amid
the artificial intelligence boom.

Hon Hai Precision, better known as Foxconn, ranked second, followed by Fubon
Financial Holding, Cathay Financial Holding, and smartphone IC designer
MediaTek.

CRIF credited strong global demand for AI applications for the continued
profit growth.

TSMC topped the ranking by revenue for the first time ... and it ranked first
in net worth, at 5.4 trillion NT.
