Airline pilots remain Taiwan's highest-paid occupation: Survey

The Ministry of Labor says airline pilots were the highest-paid occupation in Taiwan last year, according to the results of its annual survey of wages.
Airline pilots topped the list with a monthly salary of NT$298,000 (US$9,500), followed by certified actuaries at NT$203,000 and physicians at NT$180,000.
The tenth-highest paid occupation was financial investment analysts, with an average monthly salary of NT$78,000.
The ministry said that the top-10 list has been relatively unchanged in recent years.
Among the occupations with strongest wage growth this year were insurance agents, funeral service workers and hairdressers, whose wages improved by more than 7 percent.
Among the occupations seeing declines were real estate agents as well as securities and financial traders and brokers.
