Taiwanese international travelers increased trips by 19% in January-April

Taiwan's Tourism Administration has released data showing more than 7 million outbound trips between January and April, a 19 percent increase over the same period last year.
Japan continues to be the top destination, accounting for 37 percent of all trips. China was second, at 17 percent of trips ... and South Korea was third, at 10 percent.
Inbound tourist numbers fell just short of 3 million, up 3.8 percent from a year earlier. Japanese accounted for 14 percent of travelers to Taiwan in April. 15 percent came from Hong Kong or Macau, while South Koreans accounted for 11 percent of inbound tourists.
