CPC Corp.: Gasoline, Diesel price freeze to continue next week

CPC Corp. says it will continue a diesel and gasoline price freeze next week,
with prices ranging from 31 NT per liter for diesel to 35.9 NT per liter for
premium unleaded gasoline.

The move is aimed a keeping Taiwan fuel prices the lowest in the region ...
even as neighboring countries are also subsidizing pump prices in the face of
higher global oil prices due to shipping disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.

CPC says it has absorbed a total of 11.5 billion NT in losses since the war
started on Feb. 28 ... in the hope of keeping consumer and export prices
steady. It says the cost of absorbing increased costs was 3.6 NT per liter of
gasoline last week ... 5.4 NT for diesel.
