Kaohsiung's Fubon Marathon kicks off, with mayor passing a baton

Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Qi-mai took part in a "fastest dinosaur" relay race as
part of the Fubon Marathon 2026 this morning.

The mayor, dressed as a dinosaur, literally passed the baton to Qiu Yi-ying
... one of the people running to replace him in November's election.

Make of that what you will ...

The actual marathon will be held tomorrow morning.
