CWA lifts all typhoon warnings for Champi

The Central Weather Administration has lifted all typhoon warnings for
Champi, with the sea warning ending at 8:30 this evening.

The land warning was lifted at 2:30 this afternoon as the storm moved away
from Taiwan.

But the CWA says rain and strong winds remain a concern.

Heavy rain is possible tonight through Sunday across northern Taiwan and
Yilan, with heavier downpours in mountain areas from Taipei to Miaoli.

After days of rain, mountain slopes remain vulnerable to landslides and
falling rocks. Low-lying areas could also see flooding.

Strong gusts are possible overnight in parts of New Taipei, southern and
eastern Taiwan, and offshore islands.

Champi is continuing to move away and is expected to weaken further.
